Long-distance move from Upland, CA to Roseburg North, OR

Moving experience

We moved from SoCal to Oregon in July, the hottest weekend of the month. When we first called for a quote we were treated with respect. We did use a video chat to go over what we wanted moved and then received our quote. We did go over the box limit and paid a bit more but it was reasonable. After reading several reviews we decided to not move old furniture and cleaned out a lot of items to repurchase for the new home which was a better solution. Time and money saving way to go. Moving crew from old home were great and fast even with the heat wave that hit but we provided them with Gatorade, water and snacks. Then, delivery was a breeze and they were great with making sure all items went to the appropriate areas. A couple items were a bit damaged but the insurance company helped with that. We had items that we were concerned could be damaged with moving but they were wrapped with care and made the trip! No boxes were lost. We are all human and if you want special or priceless items to make the trip take them with you like we did, if possible. After watching the movers load and unload the truck we did give them an monetary tip to grab some lunch on the way to their next load. :) They work very hard. Thank you Presto and the many people who were involved to make this happen. Kudos to everyone!

All 5 Star Reviews Are Fake.

Its obvious that this company is giving itself 5 star reviews because the reviews are either 1 or 5 and cmon who raves about how amazing their movers were? I could write a book about how terrible my experience was with this company but I will try to keep it short.  Everything was fine until they showed up 4 hours late and after putting all of my belongings on the truck they price doubled so I literally had to go into the truck and pull things off that I would leave behind.  It was supposed to take 6 days to get everything out there so I called them 5 days later and no one ever answered my calls or returned my messages.  It was obvious that they were screening my calls because when I finally called the sales guy he put me on hold until I gave up and hung up.  11 days later they finally called me when they were in front of my house and I had to leave my new job in the middle of the day.  They offered me no apologies and have still yet to call me back more than 2 weeks later to answer for what they did to me.  What they do to people is criminal and should be in jail for what they do on a regular basis.  DO NOT USE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!

Official company response

As a rep of Presto Logistics I know this company to be one that goes a far distance to ensure quality service and the utmost customer satisfaction. The company takes extreme measures in servicing an on-time performance for all of our deliveries. I am surprised to read about this persons experience with our company. In fact, I am not sure who this person is, I have reviewed every contract for moves from California to Texas in the last 60 days, I have reviewed all estimates of $1800 (As stated in quote order by the reviewer). We have NO RECORD of anyone by the name Tyler that moved from CA-TX with a quote order of $1800.00, that paid $4200.00 for their move or that was picked up and delivered in an 11 day span. Is it possible that this is a competitor of ours slandering our company with False claims. Or could it be that we did unfortunately upset a customer of ours and they did not come forth with accurate information of what really happened. If this is the case and a customer lied about their name, move cost, and origin/destination state, then how can we be sure that this is even an honest review. We are more than willing to ascertain the merit and validity of any given claim. However, this claim seems to be completely fraudulent. Therefore I would hope that any customer reading this will keep this response in mind while choosing their moving company.
Also, for the editors at "mymovingreviews.com", please do your due diligence in ensuring that information provided in this review are correct and honest;and if found to be false(which it certainly is) hopefully remove it ASAP.
Thanx for taking the time to read this rebuttal.

Be Very Aware he Will Sell Your Contract.

BE VERY CAREFUL AND PLEASE READ. HE WILL RIP YOU OFF. The man's name is David Fimbres. This guys has his act down to a T. He will tell you that everyone else sells their moving contracts but he won't. He will show you photos of his trucks and tell you that no one else will be involved. We hired him even though he was over $1,200 over the next bidder because we believed him. Like I said he sells it very well. He came and picked up the boxes and asked for half of the cost - "cash" - in advance. We gave him the money. We were moving from L.A. to Spokane. He said it would be maximum of three weeks.   Over a month later and after numerous calls, a completely different truck showed up from a different company. He had sold them the contract, exactly what he tells you he doesn't do. They of course asked for the other half of the money (in cash) immediately before they would unload the stuff. Almost every box was broken. Part of the agreement was to put the bed together upon arrival. None of what was promised happened. The people that delivered it said their contract was with him and not with us and he was not told he had to do anything and he also is not responsible for broken dishes and furniture. As far as this new guy was concerned the damage was done on Mr. Fimbres' truck.   We called Mr. Fimbres, and you guessed it, he never called us back. This company is his. The people that answer the phone are an answering service. He will paint a picture that he is running a legitimate company. It is all a front. Do not buy into his act. We did and paid the price. He also has put BBB certified on his card. Yet another lie. I called BBB and they have had nothing but complaints about him. The man is a charlatan. Be aware. Be very aware.

Disgusting Business Practices.

I'm in the military and hired this company based on all the positive reviews to move me from one base to another. BIG MISTAKE. I now believe most of these reviews must be fictional. Once the company did the pickup they no longer returned my phone calls or e-mails. They were late delivering to me by 3 days. You can see foot prints on my boxes with several of them crushed from someones weight. So many items that were priceless to me are destroyed. They broke my motorcycles tail light and scratched it. They damaged two brand new bicycles by improperly storing them and I am still missing 2 pieces of furniture. I have been trying to contact them for 3 days and no one will return my calls. Absolutely disgusting company to do business with.

Poor Customer Service.

By using hiring this company - This has far been the worst moving decision I have ever made in my life. I hired this company on positive reviews, which are all lies.  When dealing with customer service people (Grace and Mashsa) both employees are far below standards in dealing with people. When I asked to speak with the manager, that person refused to get on the phone and handle or deal with the situation. That is what the person is their for - is to handle complaints.
Once my property was delivered my 47' inch TV was broken in three places. The same TV that this company charged me 75 dollars to boxed up. They also lost or stole my black brief case which has all my personal information and documents (passport,  military DD214 paperwork and medical paperwork.)
Please be aware of a company that over sale and under delivery their product.

Long-distance move from California to Nevada

Less than 1 star but a negative 10 stars if I could.

I was originally quoted approximately $6000.00 at the end of the day I paid over $10,000.00 but of course, the don't tell you until they have all your stuff in their truck. Then when it was delivered, boxes were destroyed and items were broken, my dryer was dented, my king size bed and mattress were destroyed. Things were untaped and then retaped with the broken items in the middle. They lost several of my items. The claim says you need to leave the items where the movers left them and take pictures..they didn't say take 10 picture of each item. Close ups of the scratch or dent or chip and then pictures from far away. They must be in color, which you have to to pay for if you don't have a printer..and if you do hav a printer, you will have to pay for so much ink since most of my items were destroyed. Upon my signing over the money orders over $5000.00 worth, then and only then did they start unloading the truck..the the Foreman tells me to expect the worst because the reloading of my things is "THE WORST REPACKING JOB HE HAS EVER SEEN AND HE'S BEEN IN THE BUSINESS FOR OVBER 5 YEARS". Then they proceeded to chip my floor tiles, make huge deep tends on my banister, and left my brand new carpets filthy. 1 week old carpets had to be shampooed. I called Presto Logistic immediatly, Patrick said to file a claim. It's been 8 months and I am still dealing with the claim. It's cheaper to rent a Uhaul and they direct you to people the will load your items into the truck for you and then in your new location if out of city of state like my situation, they will set you up with people to help you unload. Had I know this, I would of stayed away from Presto Logistic. It was just like flushing $10 grand down the toilet.  .

My Wife’s (separated) move from California to Idaho

Hey [NAME EDIT] if your going to add me to a legal contract regarding my wife that I am separated from maybe you should forward me a copy and have me sign it as well. We are separated and she does not have legal permission to sign on my behalf but I am guessing you already know that. Your unprofessional misconduct towards her is unacceptable. You want to name me in a legal contract but you never once contacted me? Not only did she have to incur such heartbreaking damage to the sum of approx $5000 to $6000. But then she had to endure your unprofessionalism. Funny how you never sent me any of your threatening txt. I ecspecially like the one where you said you would up her fee $900 if she mentioned the word attorney. You and your company need to be reported to the IRS for “your must have cash or it doesn’t get unloaded” policy. Better yet how about a good audit from the State of California.

Long-distance move from Lake Forest, CA to Woodinville, WA

Be careful!

Presto Logistics did a horrible job on our move from California to Washington. On moving day, they tried to charge extra for items that had been part of the estimate

causing us leave some things behind due to tight budget. After they left our home, our furniture and possessions were transferred into a very large moving van along with other people’s stuff. Due to the condition of our things, we believe that our things may have been transferred more than once.

On delivery day, after we waited for hours, they finally arrived 6 pm (maskless) and worked until midnight (after taking many smoking breaks and a dinner break) at which time they decided to stop and spend the night in their truck on our street with the truck running and blocked entry to our very small street. Our new neighbors were not impressed.

As they brought boxes off the truck it was very obvious that these boxes had been tossed around like trash. Boxes were upside down and smashed in....at opposite corners -it was obvious how mistreated everything was. At midnight, the driver said he “might not make it back if he couldn’t stay right there that night. They also asked to use our shower at midnight! We had to insist that they at least bring in our bed so we could sleep somewhere before they stopped for the night. The driver and his “helper” girlfriend were homeless and actually lived on the truck. They were both in their fifties and we worried mightily as they struggled with some of our large antique pieces. As we unpacked, we found many items broken inside the boxes, the wheels of our vintage radio flyer wagon were crushed and bent, all of my husband’s heavy workshop tools were all on heavy duty wheels—they all were tweaked, off balance and very difficult to move, my Thomasville dining chair was broken, and so much more!

It was a devastating experience during which I lost items that were very dear to me.

Henry (the company rep) was a good guy but the company itself needs to ensure that people’s possessions are treated with more care and they should vet their delivery people and remind them of the mask mandate at that time! I expected better service and treatment of possessions after paying bill of over $13,000!!!

Damaged Furniture but Refused Resposibility!

The movers, especially the delivery team, damaged multiple pieces of furniture, causing over $5,400 in actual, documented damages. The moving team was rushed, sloppy, and reeked of pot. The Presto driver, repeatedly expressed his embarrassment over the condition of the delivery and promised that his boss, Henry, would take care of it. He didn't! Instead, the insurance company offered $300 in reimbursement and Henry offered to raise it to $700. Paltry sums compared to the total damage. Presto and Henry, refused to take responsibility for their actions, and tried to blame it on our Insurance choices (i.e.- not taking a massive, highly profitable up-sell to pay for their carelessness.) The episode is similar to someone with terrible insurance, smashing into the back of your car, causing major damage, then claiming he is not responsible for anything more that what his lousy insurance company offers. In short, be prepared to spend a ton of money on the move, have the movers damage your items and then be given the middle finger by the company.

Our Move from Los Angeles CA to Hyatsville MD was performed with utmost care and concern to our belongings in a timely manner. what really got us was the attention to detail with the Pickup crew to wrap and pack all of our belongings to the point that it seemed virtually impossible to get damamged. Honest Compant.

I was requesting a quote for a move in East coast, Abe called me and was very honest and the first thing he mentioned was to check for local companies as he thinks I would be able to find a better rate from local companies. This is true honestly, even before trying to sell me services he wanted to make sure that I get a good rate. I like the way he explained it and I did mention that I will write a review just for being honest

Do Not Use Them!!

Beware of 5-star ratings posted by company itself! Moved from CA to FL, lost important items and making little-no effort to find them or update on status. Initially showed up 4 and 1/2 hours late. Loader requested $200 cash to buy gas for next pickup. Delivered to destination 6 days later than the latest delivery date because "truck broke." Delivery driver tried to give me other people's belongings. Host of other headaches. Go with someone else, anyone other than these people.

Moving with Presto Logistics.

I just wanted to leave comments about our move on 4/9 (pick-up) and 4/11 (unloading). The job was handled by Luis and Ismael. They were very professional and courteous. They were very impressive in the way the packed our furniture and loaded our stuff in the truck. Nothing was broken and everything got to our new location and was unloaded with care. We were very happy with the their service. You are lucky to have such dedicated people working for your company! We would be happy to recommend your company to anybody who needs moving services.

Long-distance move from California to Arizona

Would not use this company again.

Called and recieved a low cost quote for a 1 bedroom apt. Without any of the furnature in it. Literally all boxes. Mover came on time and did a very good job of being quick to empty my apt. Once they were done, I was given a quote that was $1000 over what they originally quoted me. A cost in tape, bubble wrap and tarps and space. They used a rented penske truck for my move. Not very professional. I moved from CA to AZ , literally a 5 hr drive. That I made after they had left. My delivery date was quoted to be the 28th or 29th. 2-3 days after my pick up date. Now, as I sat here waiting for them to arrive I am being told my delivery date isn't until the 2nd or 3rd of jan. 6-7 days later than what I was originally quoted. This company is dishonest and doesn't give you any of the facts. I will never use them ever again. I still have not recieved my goods. Looking forward to see if things are broken or damaged as the way this company has worked so far, im expecting it. Wouldnt reccomend them at all! Go find a better company to work with.

Extremely Satisfied!

Moving with this company was a very pleasant experience. The staff made this process so easy for me that all I really had to do was sit back and relax until they completed the job. Henry specifically, made this experience very easy for me. I had restrictions on pickup that made it very difficult for a lot of the other companies to facilitate the move but with what Henry put together for me, the whole thing was a lot easier than I thought it would be. I am currently settled in my new home, all my furniture and belongings in tact. Above all I was so impressed with the company's level of communication during the move and I will surely send anyone I know moving to them.

Long-distance move from California to Texas

I Will Not Use Presto Logistics Again.

Abe from Presto Logistics did a walk through of my house to estimate my moving costs. I selected them because they seemed like a reliable firm. By and large, the move got my belongings from point A to point B but I would not use them again for the following reasons:

1) The estimate was off by about 15%, from 632 cubic feet to 750 cf. I found this very suspicious, especially because I moved fewer items than first identified in the walk through.

2) Abe said the move would be "direct" when I asked. However, on the moving day the driver mentioned a transfer. When I asked Abe about this he said he thought I'd meant it went directly from LA to Austin without going into storage. This explanation made no sense because storage was never part of the discussion. I believe he thought I wanted to hear the move was direct, as I did. He explained this was too expensive, which is fine. What isn't fine is misleading me.

3) An external monitor went missing. I distinctly recall this box being picked up by one of the movers. It did not arrive.

4) They broke the one item I told them I didn't want broken, a life size terra cotta warrior. Despite paying extra money to have it crated (in what turned out to be blankets inside a cardboard box), the legs were broken such that it couldn't stand. I had to go through much hassle and pay over one thousand dollars to have it repaired.

They made me a lowball settlement offer so I submitted this to binding arbitration which, unfortunately, ruled against me because I did not note the damage on the bill of lading.

I regret having done business with Presto Logistics.

Long-distance move from California to Texas

Recent Move.

I recently have moved from Bakersfield, CA to Austin, TX. I got numerous amounts of calls from a wide variety of companies in California. I have heard and read horrific and terrifying reviews from moving companies and I sure as hell did not want my moving experience to be anything like that whatsoever . The minute I got off the phone with Abe I felt relived and felt comfortable that my moving experience will be at ease. I was informed with all the information that I was needed. On the day of the move I was sent a crew who wrapped and handled my household goods as if they were owned by themselves. Professionalism to the fullest extent. They were great! I was confident after I saw that the pick upside to my move went smoothly, that I won't have to worry. The delivery crew was just as professional as on the pick up side. They unwrapped and placed my items where ever I had asked. I had an extremely easy moving experience with Presto. They had taken a load of stress off my head and really made my moving experience easy. Thank god I did not have an experience from what I thought my move will be too! I definitely recommend Presto to anyone who is looking for a real, honest, and reliable full service company. Thank you so much Presto!

Cheaters, Dishonest, Rude, Daylight robbers.

The company just doesn't get it. As customers you are treated like dirt once they have the stuff in the truck. Beware of these guys - they are very good at sweet talking you and I'm very certail all the positive reviews on this website are from the company members. I will be surprised if anyone can have a positive experience with such a bad team that includes - sales guys, dispathcers, and the guys they hire to load and unload stuff.. Remember this company is a broker and do not own and run their own trucks like they make you believe.

Accurate quote/attn to detail.

I found this company online and decided to give them a chance. Their primary bases of operations are Texas and California but Henry coordinated one of the presto long distance tractor trailers to pick our belongings up while trailer was in route back to their base in California.
I was very accurate with my packing needs and my inventory list and presto came thru to give me a quality service at the price I was quoted and provided a timely and professional delivery.
Thanx presto, I will def recommend to my family and friends.

This is a very good company. Benjamin went far beyond his duties. I had a melt down as I was moving first and we moved items from 2 states. Long-distance move from California to Georgia

Exceeded all expectations.

I cannot say enough amazing things about Presto Logistics. This company went above and beyond to make sure my move went perfectly from start to finish. I was a wreck trying to move all my things from California to Georgia and Presto Logistics completed this move so smoothly and efficiently.

The guys arrived on time to pick up my stuff. They worked tirelessly and packed all fragile materials very carefully. I was a pain in the butt asking a million questions and they continued to smile and answer everything I asked patiently, politely and respectfully.

When it came to delivery, I was given an accurate estimation for a delivery date. I even had an emergency arise and desperately needed my things a day earlier. I made one phone call to see if it were possible and the guys were so nice telling me not to worry and sure enough, my stuff came a day early.

I HIGHLY recommend Presto Logistics to anyone who wants a trustworthy, high quality moving company. I will absolutely never use anyone else.

Presto logistics sucks.

This company sucks when it comes to communication and honesty. Upon delivery they got my baby's mattress and a few other expensive items mixed up with another move then they notified me that it was found but the dispatcher that I was suppose to meet in Nashville never called to notify me where he was I kept getting his voicemail. The company also has issues with answering and returning calls my kid had yo sleep on the floor and still no matters. Good moving company.

Our experience with Presto Logistics was very good.  They showed up on time for the pick up and handled the process cordially. They delivered our belongings 15 days later.  The delivery staff was very nice and helpful. Long-distance move from California to Texas

Scammers!! Be aware.

This is by far the worst moving company in the United States. I decided to hire Presto because the "low" quote that Darryl presented to me over the phone and all the "fake" reviews in this site. The quote was at least two thousand dollars less than other moving companies in the area. The first thing I explained to these scammers was that this was military move and I needed to know how much was going to cost me to move 6,000 lbs from California to Texas. The reason why I needed to know the weight cost is because the military reimburse service members moving expenses based on the weight. Darryl quoted me for this weight $3,643. Amazing I thought, but the only thing  these scammers forgot to mention, was the fact that they charge based on the total used space and not by the total weight. The day of the move, after arriving 4 hours late one of the movers informed me  based on the quantity of items in my house that the total cost of my move could of increased. I then asked him why? That's when the mover explained to me that Presto don't charge based on weight but on the used spaceand they had some "packing materials charges". At this point I had no other choice but to let them start because I had to vacate my house the next day. Guess what? once they finished with the wrapping and moving my belongings into the truck they came with the total cost. After the total used space and the used packing materials, ladies and gentlemen it was $6,646.24!! an almost 100% increase from the original quote, needless to say I almost had a heart attack. They charged my $1,865 in packing materials and my used space was almost $5,000. I could go on and on, on how I tried to solve this robbery with the "managers" at Presto without any resolution but they don't deserve my time nor yours. The day of the delivery "they were on time this time" when unwrapped our belongings 25-30% had some damage and the movers made a hole on one of our walls trying to move one of our couches. I already filed a complaint with the Federal Transportation Comission and the Army Transportation Command and hopefully the outcome of this complaint will prevent this criminals to take advantage of the Armed Forces Service Members and any other person in need of a honest moving company.  .
